Avatar-Based Insurance Consultation Introduces on “Hoken Ichiba,” One of Japan’s Largest Insurance Comparison Platforms

A New Way to Discuss Insurance—Casually and Comfortably Through Avatars

AVITA Inc. (Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Hiroshi Ishiguro; hereinafter “AVITA”) has entered into a partnership with Advance Create Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Osaka City, Osaka; President: Yoshiharu Hamada), a publicly listed company on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market and the operator of “Hoken Ichiba,” one of Japan’s largest insurance comparison websites.
The partnership aims to jointly develop new insurance-related services using avatar technology.

    Overview of the Collaboration

With the anticipated rise of the metaverse and the evolution of hybrid real–virtual interactions, both companies recognize that new forms of customer engagement and service delivery are emerging. As a first step toward this future, AVITA and Advance Create have begun developing new approaches to insurance sales and promotion using AVITA’s avatar technology platform, AVACOM.

    Future Initiatives

As part of exploring new possibilities for insurance sales, promotion, and digital engagement, the companies envision the following initiatives:

    • Creating work environments that enable staff such as parents, seniors, and people with disabilities to participate more actively

    • Supporting customers in choosing insurance products and consultants through avatar-operated staff

    • Providing online insurance consultations via avatars

    • Developing AI-powered insurance consultation avatars

    • Enhancing internal communication and mental well-being through avatar-based interaction

    • Using avatars to facilitate company information sessions and interviews, allowing students to engage with recruiters more comfortably

Through these efforts, the companies aim not only to deepen communication with existing customers but also to build stronger engagement with the Gen Z demographic, which will drive future consumption trends. At the same time, the partnership seeks to improve employee experience, boost productivity, and transform recruitment processes by reducing interview-related stress and enabling students to express themselves more naturally during hiring events.
