On July 1, 2025, as part of a Japan study and training program for students from Ajou University (Republic of Korea), AVITA’s COO Shogo Nishiguchi delivered a guest lecture. The participants were students from the university’s College of Computing and Informatics, specializing in software and AI.
The College of Computing and Informatics covers a wide range of advanced fields, including software engineering, digital media, and cybersecurity, with a focus on developing highly skilled professionals through practical and interdisciplinary education. This training program was organized to give students hands-on exposure to cutting-edge technologies at Japanese companies working in emerging industries such as artificial intelligence (AI), AR/VR, and big data, and to encourage them to actively learn about the current state of IT in Japan.
In his lecture, Nishiguchi introduced AVITA’s solutions that leverage avatars and generative AI to help address labor shortages, and shared concrete deployment examples as well as perspectives on future opportunities in the Korean market. Beyond a simple overview of AVITA’s business, he also discussed the role of technology in future society and how the next generation might harness these technologies—providing content that broadened the students’ perspectives.
Feedback from participating students included comments such as:
“It was valuable to learn about the current state of AI and humanoid development in Japan. I was especially impressed by the idea of using avatars not to completely replace workers, but to support people who have difficulty working on-site.”
“I felt that Japan’s technology—shaped by cultural differences from Korea—is in many ways more advanced. It was fascinating to hear about aspects I hadn’t known before.”
AVITA’s vision is to “Evolve humanity with avatars.” By creating working environments free from constraints of appearance, gender, age, or location, we aim to empower diverse talent and help build a society where anyone can play an active role. We are grateful for the interest shown in these efforts and for the opportunity, as a Japanese company engaged in AI and avatar technologies, to deliver this lecture.

Going forward, AVITA will continue to contribute to the realization of a better future society through technologies that combine avatars and generative AI.
